Important decisions deserve more than confidence.
Consequential decisions shape organisations, allocate resources and determine what happens next. Yet the reasoning behind them can remain fragmented, assumptions can go unchallenged, and accountability can weaken once a decision leaves the room. The Voussoir exists to bring greater structure to that process.
What is The Voussoir?
The Voussoir is decision review and governance software. Seven independent AI perspectives ask the questions a well-run board would ask, challenge a consequential decision before it is committed, record their dissent and state what would change the answer. People decide, and the decision is kept in a tamper-evident record.
Why it exists
Organisations already have consultants, advisers, board portals, meetings and specialist expertise. Each serves a purpose. The challenge is making rigorous examination, collective deliberation, formal decisions and institutional records work together as one process. That joined-up process is what The Voussoir is designed to support.
What we design to
- 01Challenge before commitment.
Important assumptions and credible alternatives should be examined before resources or authority are committed.
- 02Perspective before premature consensus.
Different perspectives expose weaknesses, competing interpretations and overlooked consequences.
- 03Structure before execution.
A recommendation should connect to clear decisions, responsibilities, conditions and the governance the organisation requires.
- 04Record before memory fades.
The reasoning, the decision and what happened afterwards should be kept, to support accountability and learning.
These are the standard we build toward. They are not a claim that every briefing meets it.
The platform
One decision moves through four connected stages: Council, Decision Room, Boardroom and Ledger.
- Council
- Seven independent AI perspectives examine one decision. Each states a stance, a confidence figure, the strongest case for proceeding and what would change its view.
- Decision Room
- People record their own position (concur, concur with reservations or dissent), set conditions and resolve the decision. Humans decide.
- Boardroom
- Organisations run dockets and meeting agendas, print board packs and keep an attestation roll-call.
- Ledger
- Events are kept in a tamper-evident, hash-chained record. Outcomes can be logged later, with check-ins at 30, 90 and 180 days.
What is live today, and what is not yet
The Voussoir is early. The Council, Decision Room, Boardroom and Ledger are live. We have not yet published customer results: Casebook cases appear only with recorded consent and are labelled real, anonymised or illustrative. We hold no third-party security certification, and single sign-on and organisation-wide enforced two-factor authentication are not available. The Trust and Security page says more.
The founder
Bashir Ademola Yusuf is a systems builder and entrepreneur focused on how better structures produce better decisions, stronger institutions and more durable outcomes.
His work is shaped by a conviction that consequential decisions deserve more than intuition, isolated expertise or the confidence of the person making them. They need structured challenge, multiple perspectives, explicit reasoning and a reliable record of why a decision was made. Across his work in real estate, technology and business systems, he has focused on the structures that make performance repeatable: how people organise knowledge, test assumptions, allocate responsibility and turn individual judgment into institutional capability.
He founded The Voussoir around one question: what would it take to make rigorous decision-making a repeatable institutional practice, rather than an occasional exercise in expertise?
Better institutions are not built on good intentions alone. They are built on systems that make sound judgment more deliberate, visible and accountable.LinkedIn
The ambition
To make rigorous decision-making an institutional practice: to help organisations move beyond isolated moments of good judgment toward processes that make challenge, deliberation, governance and learning more structured and repeatable. The Voussoir does not claim to remove uncertainty or replace human responsibility. It strengthens the conditions under which people make consequential decisions.
Questions
Who founded The Voussoir?
The Voussoir was founded by Bashir Ademola Yusuf, a systems builder and entrepreneur.
Who operates The Voussoir?
The Voussoir is operated by Voussoirum Technology Limited, a company registered in Nigeria, and serves customers worldwide.
What does "voussoir" mean?
A voussoir is one of the wedge-shaped stones that form an arch. Each bears a different share of the load, and the arch stands because they work together. The seven seats work the same way.
Does The Voussoir give professional advice?
No. It is decision support. The seats are AI perspectives, not licensed professionals, and the decision and its consequences stay with the people who make it.
